VTB’s social projects
Caring for the future is one of the most important tasks of every socially responsible business and society as a whole. The health of our children is an indispensable condition for a happy future.
In order to support children's healthcare institutions, orphans and children with special needs, in 2003, the head VTB bank created the World Without Tears corporate charity program. This program is long-term and 100 percent targeted. As part of the program, VTB Bank (PJSC) finances the purchase of expensive medical equipment, medicines and consumables for children's healthcare institutions.
The history of the program began in 2003, when VTB Bank (PJSC) donated specialized furniture for children with cerebral palsy to the Moscow Region Pediatric Psychoneurological Hospital.
Over the past nine years of the program's existence, VTB Bank (PJSC) has provided assistance to a large number of children's hospitals in Moscow and St. Petersburg. In 2007, the program went federal, and today VTB Bank (PJSC) donates equipment not only to capital hospitals, but also to regional hospitals in the Russian Federation.
VTB Bank (Belarus) in 2008 was the first among the subsidiary banks of the VTB Group to join the World Without Tears corporate charity program. In 2008, assistance was provided by the 2nd City Pediatric Clinical Hospital in Minsk.
Positive emotions are as important for the recovery of children as good treatment. Such emotions, children's delight and laughter are provided by the entertainment program and performances of artists. In 2008-2012, The Belarusian State Circus acted as a partner of the World Without Tears program, and since 2013, Ximikids (children’s event organizer) volunteered to support the Bank's charity program.
